This Biblical account is taken from Acts 14. It is the second half of the First Missionary Journey of Paul.
The story includes:
- Paul preaching in the city of Iconium, and many accepting Christ.
- Non-believers starting a riot and plotting to kill Paul and Barnabas.
- Paul’s team going to Lystra, where a cripple man is healed
- The crowd thinking Paul and Barnabas are gods and trying to sacrifice to them
- Paul stopping the crowd and preaching to them
- Jews from other cities changing the crowd into an angry mob
- The mob stoning Paul, who is then drug out of the city as dead
- Paul getting up and going back into the city
- The team going to another city and many come to Christ
- Paul and Barnabas appointing elders in all the churches in that area
- The team returning to Antioch and giving a report of all that happened
